Carrie Bland
Hi! My name is Pastor Carrie Bland, I am a provisional Elder in the Pacific Northwest Annual Conference of the UMC. I hold an M.Div. from Seattle Pacific Seminary, a BA in Sociology from Central Washington University, and an ATA in Business Administration from South Puget Sound Community College. In addition, I have 20+ years of experience working with children & teens from the local church to camping ministries to child daycares.
My passions include racial and social justice, making prayer beads, crafts, deep conversations, and I believe with all my heart that living my life according to God's will can lead us to a better way of life. I believe all are loved, of sacred worth, and there's always room for you at the table.
My husband Paul is a Challenge Course Facilitator Trainer and Inspector. You will have to ask him to explain what that means. My short version is that he teaches facilitators how to lead groups through a challenge course that can be fun, or as many groups use them, to help them work better together.
We have a full household with four dogs.
The Triplets are 4 months old. They are a Chihuahua/Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier mix. We brought them home when they were just 8 weeks old and it's been a whirlwind ever since.

We have a full household with four dogs.
- Our oldest is Darby. He is a 16 year old Pomeranian/Dachshund/Beagle mix. We adopted him 7 years ago and have been blessed ever since. He is super friendly, a bit timid with people, but LOVES OTHER ANIMALS. He believes he owns this town, that your home is his home, and will happily welcome you to our place. He loves being loved on and absolutely loves squeaky tennis balls.
The Triplets are 4 months old. They are a Chihuahua/Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier mix. We brought them home when they were just 8 weeks old and it's been a whirlwind ever since.
- Tasslehoff Burfoot also known as Tassle is the light tan & white boy. He is cautious, watchful, and lovable. He is very quiet unless his sisters bug him or he wants you to hold him. He loves his treats (puppy food), his squeaky toys, and snuggling. He plans to be a football player when he grows up. He is super fast and no one can catch him when he has the football!
- Sister (really that's her name) is the darker brown & white girl. She has no fear and is willing to be the first to try anything. She loves her snacks (pieces of banana & peaches), running circles around everyone, and snuggling. She is IN LOVE with Paul. When she grows up she is going to be the first puppy American Ninja Warrior! She's been practicing jumping long distances, climbing as high as she can, and flying from one chair to another.
- Lacey is all brown with a tiny white spot on her chest. She is our snuggle bug, lover, and princess. She loves to pick on her siblings, instigate fun, and eats like a little lady gently taking food from anyone who isn't looking. She loves going on walks. Don't be fooled by her sweet little expressions, she can hold her own with her siblings. When she grows up she wants to be a therapy dog.
